Service-Learning Information for Students

Through the service-learning program, there are many ways for you to get involved in your community while earning academic credit. And by getting involved, you are certain to fulfill an important community need (because we only place students where it has been determined they are needed), as well as learn more about yourself--your interests, goals, and what you are capable of.

If you have general elective credits to fulfill towards your degree, you might begin by checking out the service-learning courses offered through the Honors College Community Involvement Program (HCCIP). You do not have to be in the Honors College to participate. Or, if you want to see what service-learning courses are offered within specific academic departments (for example, if you need to fulfill a science requirement and you're interested in doing community service too), visit our complete list of service-learning courses on MyZou.

At any time, please contact us and we will help you match your service interests with your academic plans.
