Community Partners:

• Confirm with our Project Coordinator, Pat Fowler, the number of students your agency can accommodate and the projects they will be participating in. Pat can be reached at 882-0628 or fowlerp@missouri.edu. Our Service-Learning graduate assistant can be reached at servicelearning@missouri.edu.
  

• Log in as an agency partner and update the information we have about you on MU Serves. Call Pat if you need assistance with this.
  

• Schedule agency orientation sessions during the 3rd and 4th week of the semester. Offer students a scheduled time to serve each week.
  

• Interview and orientate our students. When you have a good match between the student’s interest and your program, complete the on-line contract with the student via MU Serves.
  

• Assign staff to monitor and supervise students and give feedback regularly.
  

• Keep the Office of Service-Learning informed as to your successes and challenges. We are here to assist you during the semester.
  

• Help our faculty evaluate their students’ experiences. We’ll prompt you twice during the semester, at week 9 and on STOP DAY to log in and complete an evaluation via MU Serves for each student. Students MUST complete their required service hours before finals week.
  

• Invite and include our students in special events at your agency. Offer tasks of increasing responsibility to the students that excel and demonstrate interest.
